Local Government Authority COP22 Exhibition Stand Competition

Luton Borough Council’s sustainability team have submitted photos of EcoStyle’s Renewable Energy Kits under a ‘Made in Luton’ theme, and if successful these will be displayed on the Local Government Association’s (LGA) exhibition space at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in November 2021.

The LGA has invited councils from around the United Kingdom to participate by sending digital photographs of innovative climate activities in their local areas and communities. Selected photos will be digitally displayed on the LGA’s exhibition stand throughout the day, highlighting councils’ net zero projects and solutions to the public.

Through this exhibition stand and the Pass the Planet campaign, the LGA is promoting good practice to showcase the work of councils addressing climate change.

Luton Borough Council first began using EcoStyle’s educational kits for schools outreach activities in 2010. EcoStyle has been based in Luton since its inception in 2002, and is keen to maintain links with the council and to continue to offer employment opportunities to local people.
