
Newcastle Enviro Schools Climate Change Day

On 23rd June at the Centre for Life in Newcastle a conference was held by Newcastle Enviro Schools on Climate Change and Sustainability. This included an Enviro Stalls village, with stalls from 38 organisations, including EcoStyle.
The purpose of the day was to promote the council's approach to climate change & sustainable schools and to continue to change attitudes and behaviours regarding the environment. The event aimed to recognise the efforts of schools and pupil representatives and to involve schools in the council's approach to Climate Change and the priorities it has identified.
Attendees were encouraged to cascade information the rest of their school The Enviro Stalls village provided the opportunity for environmental organisations to promote their activities to the wider community within Newcastle.
EcoStyle director Simon Hall said: 'We were very pleased to have been invited to exhibit at the show. It was a great way for Newcastle schools to learn more about our Renewable Energy education activities and the pupils really enjoyed the day.'
