EcoStyle were pleased to exhibit at the Eco-Schools Show 2011 held at the Bolton Arena. The show is the single largest sustainable schools event in England, attracting almost 3000 attendees, and is unique in that it is focussed on a younger audience - primary and secondary school pupils.
This year's show featured a packed programme of exciting activities highlighting the fantastic work schools are doing across the country, including workshops for both pupils and teachers providing practical advice for schools looking to attain and keep the Eco-Schools Green Flag. There was an Activity Zone where pupils could have a go at a variety of eco activities, and an 'Ask the Experts' Area where Eco-Committees could put questions to an expert on a topic of their choice.
The main stage area featured a variety of inspiring, entertaining and informative performances and presentations. A wide range of exhibitors displayed relevant and exciting information or products for Eco-Schools, including the EcoStyle stand where EcoStyle's Simon Hall and Clémentine Facque gave renewable energy demonstrations to a huge number of pupils and teachers.
Simon said: 'This is the second year that we have exhibited at the show, and we found this year's event was even more popular than last year. Schools were very interested in our Renewable Energy Kits as a way of explaining to pupils how their building's wind turbines and solar panels operate'.
