European Energy Savings Award (EESA) 2010

The EESA is designed to promote energy awareness and best practice in second level schools and among their students as part of the IUSES project (www.iuses.eu).

The Award is open to all second level schools and students in the UK (and several other European countries) who wish to apply. Awards have two consecutive stages: the National Awards (awarded in June 2010) and the European Awards (October 2010).

There are three categories of award:

1 - Schools
This category is open to any secondary school (private or public) that has achieved energy saving improvements by appropriate means.

2 - Individual student or a group of students
This award is open to application from an individual or group of students who achieved energy savings in their everyday lives, at home, at school, at work, in their travel etc.

3 - Videos/Multimedia (single and/or group)
This award refers to videos, posters, websites, plays, music etc. relating to energy saving and/or renewable energy topics.

The prizes at the National Competition level in the UK will be energy-related items to the value of:

The winners of each category, at national level, will automatically participate in the same category of the European Award (without any further application).

The deadline for applications is 20th May 2010.
