Council Educational Resource Box Scheme
How does the Council Educational Resource Box scheme work? The Educational Resource Box scheme provides a proven and cost-effective solution for councils to assist teachers within their area in delivering sustainability messages to all pupils.
Here's how the scheme works:
Step 1 | The Council purchases Renewable Energy Kits at a substantially discounted price |
Step 2 | The Educational Resource Box scheme is promoted to schools (we can supply free promotional material such as a PDF flyer which can be emailed to schools) |
Step 3 | A member of the EcoStyle education team provides a free training session to help launch the scheme |
Step 4 | Schools apply to borrow the Renewable Energy Kits with accompanying lesson plans |
Step 5 | Teachers will use the kits to increase pupils' understanding of energy use, renewable energy and to support the development of a whole school emphasis on reducing energy |
Step 6 | After use, participating schools return the kits to the council, providing feedback and case study opportunities |
Step 7 | The kits can then be borrowed by other interested schools |
